And then the winds picked up.
Our second week on Roatan was a little more lackluster than the first. To start with, I came down with a cold. By the time I was feeling lively enough to get back in the water we had one good day before the rain and then the winds picked up.
On Thursday the once tranquil front yard was so rough even the dive boats did not go out. Against the advise of the dive masters, several idiots tried to dive out front. Apparently navigation was not one of their strong skills and visibility was nil. It made for a pretty amusing half hour or so as they headed out, surfaced like seals trying to get their bearings, and then in fits and starts found their way back.
The view from Coco View on Thursday!
We finished up the week wondering around the resort looking for wildlife (not much) and watching the hummingbirds. They were present in ones and twos some times, and by the dozen at others. You could hear them talking to one another, and, fighting for dominance at the feeders.
On Saturday we arrived home, early, and with our luggage. Be it ever so humble!
