Nesting season is ramping up
. . . at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. This means you can get ridiculously close to Wood Storks, Herons, Anhingas and more and they are all decked out in their mating plumage. They are more concerned with nesting than avoiding people. And some of the nests are so close you could (but shouldn’t) reach out to touch them. Some were so close I could not fit the whole bird in the frame.

Not to be outdone, the Gray Squirrels were performing circus tricks while dining on the Mable buds and seeds. I just can’t resist a good trapeze act.
