You would think

. . . that there would be nothing new for us to see at Blue Heron Bridge. You would be wrong.

This week was the first time I ever saw a Lightning Whelk cruising along the bottom. And, he/she had a friend. One was 6 inches long, the other was 5 inches. I also saw a new to me Notchtongue Frillfin Goby (not photogenic). Some of the other critters I encountered are shown below.

We also did quite a bit of bird (and critter) watching this week, first hiking at Peaceful Waters, then biking at Lakeside Ranch and finally cocktailing in our own backyard. At Peaceful the otters treated us to a playful show. At Lakeside I counted an all time high of 40 alligators! And the pure white Pigeon in our backyard was another first.
