Down the hatch!
We ran into lots of hungry critters. These are not all perfect photos, but I thought it would be fun to show just how many of the locals were dining out this week.
The Great Blue Heron played with his food for a while but eventually dropped the snake and went to look for something more tasty.

We made our first visit to Viera Wetlands since it’s reopening (we were only there once before). It was not packed full of wildlife, but there were enough birds and gators to keep us interested. Here are a few of my favorites:
This week’s weather was quite possibly the best we have had since moving to Florida. We took full advantage. In addition to Viera Wetlands, this week’s outings included Peaceful Waters Sanctuary (Wellington FL) and Indian Riverside Park (Stuart, FL) with its newly expanded boardwalk system. We also took Koko to the dog park, where she learned she is not nearly as fast as a Whippet.
