Ribbit the Exhibit II . . .

is even better than the first. When we first visited Mounts Botanical Garden over 5 years ago, they had a special installation - Ribbit the Exhibit by Andy Cobb. Those whimsical frogs captured my heart. I was so excited to learn that, they have a new version and it is even better than the first. Here are some of my favorites out of a dozen separate sculptures.

The other interesting event this week was the great pineapple mystery. On Monday, I discovered a few bite marks in the almost ripe pineapple in our backyard. On Wednesday, the pineapple was half consumed. I put the critter cam out aimed at the maimed fruit. On Thursday morning I learned that the primary culprit was Opie our local possum. But he had help from what I think is a Roof Rat. While I was sad to lose the pineapple, I am happy to see the local wildlife enjoying our backyard. These pics aren’t the greatest, but you get the idea.

We also spent some time enjoying the preseason calm at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. The Great Egrets have begun nesting, but the real craziness is still a month or so away. To view all of the images from this week around the ‘hood, click here.
