It took me all year,

. . . but, during the last week of the year, I finally got the bird photo I have been longing to shoot. This Red-shouldered Hawk did some great posing and then, liftoff! The image is a little soft, but still my best so far. A great finish to 2024

We had planned to usher in the new year by watching sunrise at the beach, but the weather had other ideas. We awoke to heavy fog. So we dawdled but still got to the beach early for this view.

And then, I started 2025 off with another photo I have been trying to nail forever. A bird (in this case a Green Heron) with a bit of food mid-toss. I hope this is a good omen.
